Methodology
The Morningstar Fund Awards are based on Morningstar fund data as of 31 December 2022. Apart from the risk adjusted return in the most recent year, the fund award methodology also emphasises the strong risk-adjusted returns over the last two and three years. Both the standard deviation and downside volatility are considered in the annual quantitative assessment. The qualitative assessment covers the stability of fund managers and the management team, the consistency of the portfolio and investment strategies, as well as the level of compliance.
