Morningstar Announces Agenda for Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit 2023

The Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit, will take place on 11th–12th October 2023 in Amsterdam. The agenda will feature Ivo Mulder, Head, Climate Finance Unit, UNEP, Rob Bauer, Professor of Finance, Maastricht University, Hortense Bioy, Global Director of Sustainability Research, Morningstar, and Azadeh Sabour, Senior Vice President, Climate Solutions, Morningstar Sustainalytics.

AMSTERDAM, 01 August 2023 – Morningstar Europe Limited, a subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN) and leading provider of independent investment research, today announced the agenda for the Morningstar Sustainable Investing Summit to be held on 11th-12th October 2023 at Felix Meritis, Amsterdam.

Taking place in between PRI in Person and COP28, this summit will bring together Morningstar experts, industry practitioners, market participants and academia. The summit will explore all areas of climate finance, reducing emissions and the evolving role of engagement and stewardship to support the transition to net zero.

Assessing the Market Impact of Sustainability Finance Regulations Hortense Bioy, Global Director of Sustainability Research will discuss the impact of UK and European sustainable disclosure regulations on fund flows, asset allocation, and portfolio construction, whilst outlining missing pieces and future developments to meet the desired outcomes set out by the regulators.

Investment Stewardship - Driving Accountability in Sustainability With investors and regulators increasingly wary of greenwashing, accountability is key. This panel examines the ways investment leaders from different areas of the market are ensuring that sustainability rhetoric is matched by strategic action.
